On Highway 3 from Hope to Kaleden (1949-51)

This travelogue excerpt follows Highway 3 from Hope to Kaleden, over the just-completed Hope-Princeton Highway, through Manning Park and the Similkameen Region—all while extolling the virtues of the BC government’s postwar road-building program. There’s a bunch of road and scenery to admire, with glimpses of Hope, Manning Park Lodge, Princeton, Hedley, Keremeos, and Yellow Lake.

The source film is Peachtime in the Valley (BC Government Travel Bureau, 1949-51), BC Archives item AAAA2354 at the Royal BC Museum.
